Hello, I'm Lorna, designer & owner of Luna Ray Jewellery!

It all began..quite accidentally, during lockdown in 2021 when I started creating jewellery from my garden shed. The collection is unique, stylish and sustainable jewellery to be worn with love. Inspired by nature, each piece is carefully slow-made by hand by me. In fact, everything from the initial design to the packaging to the marketing is done by me. I previously worked in sales & marketing however lockdown gave me loads of time to get creative again and experiment with different mediums after completing an art & design portfolio course many years ago.

The collections celebrate boho chic with a nod to sustainable fashion, a dazzling fun accessor with a serious ethical ethos. Made with polymer clay, gold-plated stainless steel, brass and sterling silver components, I have the environment and visuals at the heart of my designs. Each piece is hypoallergenic & nickel free so they are suitable for the most sensitive of ears. Some pieces are delicately painted with gold leaf, acrylics or finished with a gloss for that extra sparkle. No two pieces are exactly the same so you are sure to find something truly unique. Dedicated to zero waste and sustainable fashion, all materials are used up and reimagined in the creation process. The pieces are gift-wrapped with eco packaging and come with a handwritten note for that personal touch, making them the perfect gift to yourself or someone special.

Luna Ray Jewellery is proudly stocked in over 20 Irish stockists & counting...

Hope you love the designs and more importantly love wearing them! You can follow along the process on Instagram & Facebook @lunarayjewellery or sign up to the mailing list for exclusive offers and be the first to know all the news!

The Process

Polymer clay jewellery making is an extremely exciting and versatile process! Our passion for this unique material is what drives us to create high-quality, handcrafted jewellery pieces that are as fun to wear as they are to make.

The creation process of polymer clay jewellery begins with selecting the perfect clay colours and textures to bring your vision to life. We mix the colours ourselves to create the desired shade of clay. Then, the clay is carefully shaped and molded using various tools such as cutters, molds, sculpting and carving tools to create the perfect design.

Once your piece is shaped, it is time to cure it in the oven. This process allows the clay to harden and become durable so that it can withstand daily wear and tear. After curing, the clay piece is sanded and polished to create a smooth finish and bring out the details of the design.

The possibilities with polymer clay are truly endless, and that's why we love working with this material. It is so versatile and customizable that you can create a piece that is truly one-of-a-kind. You can mix colours to create unique patterns, add textures, blend in glitter or beads, or even create intricate canes that can be used to make stunning jewellery pieces.

We take great pride in crafting each piece with the utmost attention to detail. We want our customers to feel confident and comfortable wearing our jewellery pieces for years to come. We invite you to explore our collection and experience the beauty and versatility of polymer clay jewellery for yourself. Thank you for choosing us as your go-to source for unique and handcrafted jewellery!

Our Clay Jewellery

Stainless steel is a versatile and durable material that is used in a variety of industries, including jewellery making. Gold plated 24K stainless steel is one of the materials used to create our stunning clay pieces. It is a strong and long-lasting material that is resistant to tarnishing, making it an excellent choice for jewellery that is designed to be worn every day. In addition to its practical benefits, stainless steel has a sleek and modern look that pairs well with a variety of styles. Our stainless steel pieces are carefully crafted with attention to detail, resulting in unique and timeless designs.

Our Fine Jewellery

Recycled sterling silver is the foundation of our sustainable and ethical approach to crafting beautiful pieces. The recycled silver is carefully sourced and refined to create a material that is just as stunning and durable as newly mined silver, but with a much lower environmental impact. Each piece of jewellery is expertly handcrafted with a focus on quality and longevity, ensuring that every customer can cherish their purchase for years to come. By choosing recycled sterling silver, we are not only creating beautiful pieces of art, but also making a positive impact on the planet.

Packaging & Sustainability

We believe in the importance of sustainability and taking care of the planet we live on. That's why we prioritize using sustainable packaging materials for all of our products. We understand the impact that packaging waste can have on the environment, and we want to do our part to reduce it. By using sustainable materials such as recycled paper and compostable materials, we aim to minimize our carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet. We believe that every small step we take towards sustainability makes a big difference in creating a better future for us all.

Each piece of our jewellery is packaged using sustainable, eco-friendly materials. Every order is sent in a gorgeous eco-friendly jewellery box with a handwritten note. Our earring display cards are made with 100% recycled kraft card and our tissue paper is proudly FSC certified, acid free and printed with soy ink. We operate a zero waste policy, all clay is used up in the creation process so any leftover "scraps" from designs are reimagined into new pieces. We also aim to work with solely recycled sterling silver in order to make our finished jewellery as sustainable as possible.
